Blister Pack

A blister pack has many purposes including product security, protection, containing product elements or grouping products into sets. The plastic shell is vacuum-formed around a mould so it can contain the item snugly. This usually has a backing of paperboard or aluminium foil or plastic. A blister that folds onto itself is often called a clamshell.A blister pack allows the consumer to visually examine the product through the transparent plastic and the backing card or card insert can take any shape and size and can contain a hole or euro hole for merchandising purposes.

This form of packaging is the most expensive due to the mould of the plastic.
